GA DOT to mow around roadways until Friday | News

GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- The Georgia DOT will be mowing grass alongside the expressway and on median lanes, around the metro area, beginning on Monday.
According to the Department of Transportation, personnel will only be mowing grass if weather permits. And the schedule is only tentative, at this time and will change if emergency response is needed.
Crews are assigned to work from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. until Friday.
Motorists are being asked to reduce their speed around the mow zones.
Forsyth - crews will mow SR 9, SR 306 and SR 369
Gwinnett - a crew will mow SR 13, SR 124 and SR 141
Hall - a crew will remove damaged asphalt and lay new asphalt or patch the roadway on SR 11/US 129, a lane closure is required for this work as it occurs. Other crews will mow on SR 13, SR 52, SR 53, SR 254, SR 283, SR 284, SR 332 and I-985
