BUFORD – For this week’s installment of Best Spots, we've compiled a list of the best golf courses in for you to take a break and tee it off while the weather is nice.

The Hamilton Mill Golf Club is a favorite among many Atlanta golfers and is known for its “panoramic views, playable Bermuda grass fairways, undulating bentgrass greens and impeccable, year round conditioning”.

The course was designed by Fred Couples and Gene Bates. Members and guests enjoy the stunning par-72 course. The facility features a clubhouse with a Pro Shop and a conference room. It also features a practice center with 7,000-square-feet of bentgrass putting greens.   

Members can play 18 holes with cart at Hamilton Mill for $16-$60.

The Northwood Country Club facility in Lawrenceville, Georgia features 6,798 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par-71.

Camp Twin Lakes is a network of camps around North Georgia that “provides life-changing camp programs for kids with serious illnesses, disabilities and other challenges and various state-of-the-art locations throughout the state”.

BUCKHEAD --  The 2011 Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders made their first public appearance as a new team to celebrate the launch of their new reality TV show, New South: Making the Team with the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders.

The meet and greet party featured the cheerleaders themselves, VIP guests, and the premiere showing of the first 2 episodes. The five-episode series will then air exclusively on XFINITY On Demand from Comcast and will be available 24/7.

There were veterans in attendance, but also the rookies had the their first chance to meet fans and work the crowd.
