Opening statements are scheduled to begin Thursday in the corruption trial of Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill. The prosecution and defense decided upon the trial's 12 jurors and two alternates Wednesday.

One person died Wednesday night after a shooting at a Zaxby's restaurant.

3. Police ID possible witness in Gwinnett murder

Gwinnett County Police would like to speak with a woman who may be a witness in a recent homicide case.The woman was spotted on surveillance video.

4. Record rainfall in Atlanta 

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City recorded a record rainfall of 2.66 inches in Atlanta Wednesday.

5. Three Powerball wins

Powerball officials say there are three winning tickets in Wednesday night's $448 million jackpot.

6. Arthur Zulberger, Jr. says New York Times not for sale

7. Obama cancels talks with Putin ahead of G-20 summit

Obama will still attend a G-20 summit in St. Petersburg in early September, but now will go to Sweden beforehand instead of stopping in Moscow to meet with Putin, the White House announced.
