Ball fields coming to Cool Springs Park

Ball fields coming to Cool Springs Park

FLOWERY BRANCH – (Hall County Government) The Hall County Board of Commissioners voted Thursday to build three competition baseball fields at Cool Springs Park in northwestern Hall County. Construction will begin in about 60 days, and it will take 90-120 days to complete the fields, according to Public Works & Utilities Director Ken Rearden.

“I’m very pleased that we are able to provide sorely needed competition fields for the Chestatee area. Right now, families drive all over the county to play youth baseball. Having fields closer to home will allow more children to participate,” said District 2 Commissioner Billy Powell, in whose district the park is located.

The turf fields will include irrigation and fencing, a bathroom facility, and a gravel parking lot. Though lights will not be installed this year due to the cost, power lines will be run to the fields for the possibility of future lighting.
