ATLANTA -- There are tons of fun events going on this weekend, in your area. We’ve listed a few of them for you to check out with your family and friends.

This weekend, the Castleberry Hill neighborhood will host their monthly Castleberry Hill Art Stroll at the Castleberry Point Condominiums. This event is sponsored by city councilman, Kwanza Hall and begins on Friday at 7 p.m. This week, the stroll will feature Denise Jackson’s Emerging Art Scene Gallery installations and The Wine Shoe will hold a $10 wine tasting. Food trucks will also be lined up in front of Castleberry Point. The corral will include: Tex’s Tacos, The King of Pops, Westside Creamery and the Pup Truck. The Castleberry Point Condos are located at 327 Nelson Street in Atlanta.

On Sunday, the Grant Park neighborhood will hold their first-ever Community Yard Sale starting on July 10. Treasure hunters and people who, just, want a good sale can come out and get some pretty good deals at this first ever community event. This event is being hosted by the Grant Park Conservancy. There will be a raffle on the day of the sale to support the organization. To donate, email grantparkyardsale@gmail.com . The event will be held at 499 Broyles Street, S.E. in Atlanta.

On Friday, the Indigo Girls will play a show at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The Shadowboxers will open the concert on the Great Lawn. The Indigo Girls are a local act who started on the Decatur area indie scene and released their first album in 1987. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens are located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta.

Motley Crue will be playing at Aarons Amphitheatre at Lakewood on Sunday, July 10. The rock band was originally formed in New York City and the band set the standard for the glam rock era. Aaron’s is located at 2002 Lakewood Avenue in Atlanta.

Salsa Day will be held at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, in partnership with the Latin American Association on July 10 from 1-4 p.m. The event will celebrate all things salsa. Eddie Hernandez from Taqueria del Sol will host a salsa making demonstration from 2-4p.m. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta.

The Acworth Opry will be held at the Logan Farm Park on Saturday, July 9. This free event will feature Bluegrass music, good food and friendly folks. For more information contact Jeff Chase at 770-917-1234. Logan Farm Park is located at 4762 Logan Road in Acworth.

At Jim Miller Park, this weekend, the Down N Dirty Rodeo Tour will come parading through. According to the Cobb CVB, “This exciting professional rodeo tour promotes the diversity and cultural achievements of modern day cowboys and cowgirls throughout the Southeast.” To purchase tickets visit them online.

The Riverdale Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center will be showing the Pixar movie “UP” during this week’s Friday Night Flicks. The movie begins around 8:45 p.m.  at the Amphitheater. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and relax with the family. The Amphitheater is located at 7200 Church Street in Riverdale.

On Friday, July 8, the Carrollton Cultural Art Center will host their Art Gallery Opening and Reception. The event, which introduces the new exhibit, will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The “East Meets West” exhibit will be housed in the Roush Family Gallery.

Pack a brown bag lunch and come out to the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse for a Havana Son concert. Enjoy fun music, crafts and face painting. Vendors will be set up to showcase their businesses and meet with potential customers. The concert will be held at 185 West Crogan Street in Lawrenceville.

Locals come out to showcase their best moves at the Lilburn City Park for Lilburn Idol. This event will be held on Friday, July 8. The park is located at 76 Main Street in Lilburn.

The Georgia Force and the Chicago Rush will play in their final matchup at The Arena at Gwinnett Center. The game is sold out and promises to be an interestingexhibition. The Arena at Gwinnett Center is located at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.  

This weekend, the Heroes and Champions Camp will culminate at UGA. The camp is for boys and girls aged 7 to 18. Children can choose between football, basketball and cheerleading.
